the only life eirny has ever known was her life at the alliance academy for neurogenic advancement. her true history has always been kept tight-lipped, even from her. she knows she has been there since birth, or more likely, very shortly after. she knows her name was given to her by the people who ran the academy, and that it has no connection to her family, whoever they may be, and she knows the day she arrived (which is considered her birthday). beyond that, she hasn't been told much. she's always just assumed she was an orphan, and/or left at the academy.
essentially being alone in the world, she learned from a young age how to be independent. a fast learner, she found life at the academy easy enough. she was found to be a sponge when it came to knowledge, with a mind like a steel trap. studying was never an issue though often the more social aspects were difficult for her. one would think being able to tell what others were feeling would be an asset but eirny found it to be more alienating than anything else.
life at the academy was never something that was meant to last forever and so, she left to forge her own path. with no family of her own, the academy helped her out some, but their assistance was minimal and not sustained. especially when she turned down their urgings of a job with the alliance. they had primed her for joining as a medic but she had no intention and thus left with little more than the clothes on her back to forge a new life for herself.
her mission brought her to terminus where soon enough she got a job at a clinic and moved into a rundown room in lowtown with a seedy roomate. after a while, she got a job on a salvage ship as their medic as well, saving every penny to move herself up in the world. which, eventually, she began to do.
her life came crumbling down when her biological father located her on a trip back to the academy when he and fellow disciples of enyo attacked. their reunion went less than stellar and left eirny with answers she never wanted to questions she always asked and more scars than she will ever admit. she will not speak of this experience. she cut ties with all but one person who knows of this event, causing her to leave her job on her old ship. though not on ill terms. she will still claim she is an orphan, refusing to acknowledge who her father is but always fearful he will show back up. for now, however, she is simply living her life.
